“It was fun and we had new experiences”

We design programmes for groups at our Forest School site which has a specifically built fire circle area and compost toilet facility. We can also run activities and facilitate programmes in local open and publically accessible parks and woodlands or even come out to you if you have suitable grounds.

Research shows that the process and nature of a Forest School experience and wider outdoor learning can bring many benefits to participants including:

  • increased physical and mental health and wellbeing
  • emotional literacy
  • confidence and self-esteem
  • communication skills
  • group work
  • problem solving
  • greater knowledge and understanding of self, community and the natural environment.

Forest School is a facilitated process which works with and is informed by the needs and interests of the participants, and as an approach to personal development and learning is best facilitated over a number of sessions.

At Nant y Glyn Forest School, we recommend a programme of 6 sessions for participants to really benefit from the experience. A session can be as short as 1.5 hours and up to 5 hours.

We are happy to explore programme ideas with you with no obligation to book. Please contact us to discuss your group’s needs.FOREST SCHOOL LOGO no circle (1)
